Concentrating in Real Estate Law


Laurie Schober Carnahan's practice concentrates on real estate law, including real property sales and acquisitions, leasing, zoning issues, real estate financing, and brokerage matters.

 

Laurie was admitted to the State Bar in 1988, having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree summa cum laude from Marquette University in 1985 and a Juris Doctorate cum laude three years later from the University of Wisconsin. Laurie was named the Outstanding Senior and received the Gold Medal Award for the highest graduating grade point average in the College of Arts & Sciences at Marquette. At the University of Wisconsin Law School she was an editor of the Law Review and an M.E. Davis Scholar. Laurie has been admitted to practice before the US Court - Western District, and is a member of the Waukesha County Bar Association and the State Bar of Wisconsin.

 

Prior to joining Schober Schober & Mitchell, S.C., Laurie was a member of the Quarles & Brady law firm in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She has been an instructor of the Real Estate Law and Real Estate Fundamentals courses for the Real Estate Program at Waukesha County Technical College since 1991. She has also designed and taught both of those courses for the college over the Internet. She resides in New Berlin, where she attends Holy Apostles Catholic Church. Laurie is a charter member of the Marquette University Arts & Sciences Board of Directors.
